Competitions

Last one from me for tonight. I am going to tell you how I like to do competitions. Now I am not a professional I am just a dabbler so if you want to go all out definitely read the helpful pages on the websites I am going to give you.
Just a bit of information about why I do competitions.
I started doing them a couple of years ago just to pass the time whilst my hubby played games on the Xbox and I truly thought I would never win anything great. I have now had a total win value of around £1500, again this is nothing to some people but for a hobby that I really don't spend heaps of time on and is quite easy it is not bad at all.
Some of the prizes I have won are;

  • A Kindle
  • A Leather Handbag
  • Several bunches of flowers
  • A bottle of Bacardi Oakheart Rum
  • £100 to spend at Littlewoods
  • A set of signed books
  • Over £80 of Lego
  • Emma Bridgewater mugs
  • A cocktail shaker set
  • An £80 necklace
  • A spa voucher
Alongside this I have had little wins like museli and mascara and self tanning lotion which pick you up in between the bigger wins.

Now I have whetted your appetite lets talk about the how. I use the money saving expert competition forum and order by end date and then just enter and enter till I get bored (about 10 a night now lol but used to be much more)  I use RoboForm to enter forms for me and then just fill in the captcha details.
It's really simple and I have included some links below if you want to try. If you do try Good Luck and let me know if you win.

MSE - please remember to thank anyone who posts competitions
RoboForm -I have managed with the free one for 3 years but there are paid versions too

Birchbox - January 2014

So I thought I would start up by reviewing my January 2014 birchbox this came at a great time as I was so poor and it's like getting a little present. I have taken a picture but dont have the miso soup as I gave that to hubby.
First up I have a vasanti detox nutrient rich purifying facial cleanser 20ml I have used this twice now and it has a lovely smell and it leaves my skin feeling lovely and clean.
Next I have rodial  glamtox night 15ml there isn't a lot of information about this but I put it on last night it was a nice non greasy night cream crazy colour though.
The third item is Philip Kingsley moisture balancing conditioner 20ml I haven't washed my hair yet so not used this but it smells nice and has a nice thick texture.
Fourth item was anatomy nutrients body oil 20ml this hasn't got much of a smell I have tried it and it's nice easily absorbed and leaves skin soft.
Last up is benefit the porefessional 7.5 ml I love this item it smooths my skin leaving it so ready for make up a little goes a long way but I would like more. Also I love benefit packaging so glad the sample had this.

Intro

Ok so I am just getting started with this but I really enjoy reading blogs and I thought it would be nice to give it a go myself. I am going to blog about things that interest me and if they interest you so much the better. I have been collecting beauty boxes for a couple of years now so every time a new one arrives I will give a review on here of the contents. Also I am nail varnish obsessed so I might share my nail varnish collection and obsession too. These are bought and paid for by me so it should be a fair review. I love books and read loads on my kindle mostly they are picked up free in a daily deal but it might be a good way to get to know new authors. I have really trashy reading habits despite turning the big 30 last year I love teenage fiction like twilight, hunger games, the host etc. so don't expect any classics reviewed.
Lastly I have been doing competitions for a few years with my best and first ever win being a kindle my luck seems to have run out recently but I will share how I do my competitions and hope you have better luck than me. I hope this is of interest to someone but if not I will just ramble on.
Just a quick bit about me I am 30 years old have been married for 10 years this year and live with my husband and our cat in a 1 bed flat in Essex.
